From Atlanta - 125 miles
Travel time: approximately 2 hours
1. Begin on I-75 North
2. Exit onto I-575 North just north of Marietta
3. I-575 becomes Highway 515
4. Continue on highway 515 by-passing the towns of Jasper, Ellijay and Blue Ridge
5. Continue 4 miles North of Blue Ridge
6. Turn left on Highway 60 and travel two miles on this 2 lane road.
7. Turn right onto Spur 60 at the church. This 2 lane road leads you into North Carolina where it becomes a four lane road which will intersect with US Highway 64.
8. Turn left onto US 64 and in approximately two miles you will come to King's Leather Store on the right.
9. At King's Leather, turn right onto Bell Hill Road.
10. In seven-tenths (.7) of a mile turn right onto Bell Hill Terrace.
11. Go four- tenths (.4) of a mile and turn right on Shuler Mountain Road (unpaved road)
12. Proceed with caution for nine-tenths (.9) of a mile to the top of
Shuler Mountain and look for two blue relectors on the right that
mark the driveway entrance to Gobblers' Knob Lodge.
From Chattanooga - 85 miles
Travel time approximately 2 hours
1. Begin on I-75 North
2. Exit onto US 64 Bypass
3. Continue on US 64 Bypass to US 64 East (Note: This road becomes two lane for a time while it meanders through the Oconee Gorge.
After approximately 20 miles it widens to four-lane again. Crossing the North Carolina state line, you have entered Cherokee County and the road becomes US 64/74. Continue approximately 13 miles from
the state line and look for the King Leather Store on the left side of the highway. (near Ranger, NC.)
4. At King's Leather Store, turn right onto Bell Hill Road
5. In seven-tenths (.7) of a mile turn right onto Bell Hill Terrace
6. Go four- tenths (.4) mile and turn right onto Shuler Mountain Road
7. Proceed with caution for nine-tenths (.9) of a mile to the top of Shuler
